Transport problems for 2010 in South Africa?

February 26th, 2010 by Jacksoccer

chickyboo222 asked:

Government might have to consider holidays for pupils and workers during the 2010 soccer World Cup to ease traffic congestion especially during big matches in Gauteng.

How can they not be ready? Is this not proof that the goverment is wasting time?

The last line of this article says: “it would be a tragedy if the country failed to capitalise on the current opportunity to put a decent transport system in place.”
My last question was deleted.. lets hope this one lasts a bit longer.

What do you think of South Africa now that you have seen images of xenophobic attacks?

February 24th, 2010 by Jacksoccer

South Africa has been in crises over the past two weeks because of xenophobic attacks. People in poor communities are killing and chasing away foreign nationals from their communities. The international media has beamed horrific images to othe rparts of the world and what I would like to know is the following:
Do you think South Africa is capable of hosting the 2010 soccer world cup after the recent xenophobic attacks?
Will you visit South Africa as a holiday destination?
And what do you think of South Africa now?
