Transport problems for 2010 in South Africa?

Government might have to consider holidays for pupils and workers during the 2010 soccer World Cup to ease traffic congestion especially during big matches in Gauteng.

How can they not be ready? Is this not proof that the goverment is wasting time?

The last line of this article says: “it would be a tragedy if the country failed to capitalise on the current opportunity to put a decent transport system in place.”
My last question was deleted.. lets hope this one lasts a bit longer.

The problem here is that the ANC are incapable of admitting that they require the services of whitey to properly plan all facets of this event.
Their failure to acknowledge this fact and their failure as a government, has already in the year 2007, ensured that 2010 will be a complete disaster.
Stadiums will almost certainly not be completed in time and those that are, will be substandard, traffic will be worse than now, certainly not better and hundreds of unsuspecting tourists can expect to be raped, assaulted, sodomised, tortured or murdered by this countries rampant crime against which the ANC will never act as it ensures continued white emigration from South Africa.
The ANC government are a pathetic collection of Marxist Kleptomaniacs and that is all they will ever amount to.
How can we expect them to utilise this opportunity to upgrade our transport system when they cannot even implement their taxi recapitalisation programme effeciently due to pathetic planning and fear of the countries taxi unions and commuters?

The team of 3000 delegates and journalists that are arriving very shortly will investigate exactly this (the transport problem).

It will be interesting to hear what they have to say.
They will also have to be informed that the Gautrain is light years from being completed and only the link to Benoni may be ready in time.

Not to worry if your question gets deleted, don’t even waste a moment getting irritated by the people who report you.
On this forum it just means you are probably exposing some facts about something which is embarrassing to certain trolls on this forum and who do not want the information to flow freely.

This is the opportunity for entrepreneurs to come up with motorised skateboards or similar. Sell them at every traffic light. Great small business opportunity for those who can come up with a brilliant solution. Never rely on the government. They already cannot cope with the situation as it is.
